When I first saw Game of Thrones starting last year, I thought about cramming in the books before it started but I decided that I would go into it without reading them so I can take the series as it is and then go back and read the books so I can criticize it then. If it’s needed which I doubt (hopefully), but I remembered hearing that they did stick to the book, other then shortening conversation, and of course, there probably were details left out. With 3 months left until Season 2 starts, I think I should watch season 1 again to refresh myself on the show. The nice thing is HBO has the whole first season still up so I can access it through my DISH remote app on my iPad on demand any time I want. Since I work nights at DISH the on demand will come in handy since HBO posts every show after it airs, I can stay caught up during season 2. I know George likes killing off the characters but I hope Tyrian doesn't die for a while, he was a definite stand out from season 1.
