TV Trailer: Game Of Thrones Season 3
In the first season of Game of Thrones, the Stark motto was the recurring refrain: “Winter is coming.” As we enter the third season, the warnings have gotten even more ominous: “Death is coming, for everyone and everything.” This new trailer premiered on Jimmy Kimmel Live Friday night, and while it’s only 60 seconds long it’s certainly enough to get fans excited all over again.

TV Trailer: Revolution
Here’s the trailer for the upcoming NBC series, Revolution. At first blush, it looks like a mainstream thriller. Then it sort of looks like science fiction. By the end of the trailer, it smells suspiciously like Lost-style fantasy. It'll be interesting to see how it unfolds in the episodes they manage to air before it gets canceled. ( Because we all know what a crappy record NBC has when it comes to genre series.)
Also, has anyone noticed how many female characters are coming out of the woodwork with a talent for shooting arrows recently?
In this footage, a mysterious blackout knocks out the world's power
grid and renders all of civilization's car batteries completely kaput. Fast-forward 15 years. The globe has reverted to a pre-industrial society, ala Jericho or The Postman.
Enter Giancarlo Esposito as Gustavo Fring, Wasteland
Warlord. Here's a synopsis:
Our entire way of life depends on electricity. So what would happen if it just stopped working? Well, one day, like a switch turned off, the world is suddenly thrust back into the dark ages. Planes fall from the sky, hospitals shut down, and communication is impossible. And without any modern technology, who can tell us why? Now, 15 years later, life is back to what it once was long before the industrial revolution: families living in quiet cul-de-sacs, and when the sun goes down lanterns and candles are lit. Life is slower and sweeter. Or is it? On the fringes of small farming communities, danger lurks. And a young woman's life is dramatically changed when a local militia arrives and kills her father, who mysteriously – and unbeknownst to her – had something to do with the blackout. This brutal encounter sets her and two unlikely companions off on a daring coming-of-age journey to find answers about the past in the hopes of reclaiming the future.

TV Trailer: Prophets Of Science Fiction
‘Prophets of Science Fiction’ is an 8 part series that Scott not only narrates but produced. It is a project close to his heart as it investigates the crossover where science fiction becomes science fact. In these episodes, he will introduce and profile great minds of the science fiction genre whose work would later inspire ideas or concepts that are now considered science fact. Some of these ‘Prophets of Science Fiction’ include Phillip K. Dick, Jules Verne, Isaac Asimov, George Lucas, H.G. Wells and Gene Roddenberry. The video shown at the NYCC also contained a rough cut of the first episode of the series which focuses on Mary Shelley and her idea of man creating life in a laboratory.
“I am thrilled to be partnering with Science Channel on this exciting new series. I hope that the audience will find the subjects as interesting and inspiring as I do,” says Scott. You can watch the video from the NYCC below as well as the commercial for the series that is currently airing on the Science channel. ‘Prophets of Science Fiction’ will debut on the Science channel on November 9 at 10PM ET/PT.
