Trailer: Hugo

Hugo tells the story of an orphan boy living a secret life in the walls of a Paris train station. With the help of an eccentric girl, he searches for the answer to a mystery linking the father he recently lost, the ill-tempered toy shop owner living below him and a heart shaped lock, seemingly without a key. Based on Brian Selznick's award winning and imaginative New York Times bestseller, The Invention of Hugo Cabret, this magical tale is Academy Award-winner Martin Scorsese's first film shot in 3D.

Trailer: The Innkeepers

After over one hundred years of service, The Yankee Pedlar Inn is shutting its doors for good. The last remaining employees -Claire and Luke - are determined to uncover proof of what many believe to be one of New England's most haunted hotels. As the Inn's final days draw near, odd guests check in as the pair of minimum wage "ghost hunters" begin to experience strange and alarming events that may ultimately cause them to be mere footnotes in the hotel's long unexplained history.

The film is scheduled to be released on February 3rd 2012.

Trailer: A Game of Shadows

The new trailer for Sherlock Holmes:  A Game of Shadows is here! In it, Sherlock Holmes and his reluctant sidekick Dr. Watson join forces to outwit and bring down their fiercest adversary, Professor Moriarty. Will it be better than the visually stunning (if weak-plotted) predecessor? I can't help but think the answer is a resounding yes.

TV Trailer: Prophets Of Science Fiction

‘Prophets of Science Fiction’ is an 8 part series that Scott not only narrates but produced. It is a project close to his heart as it investigates the crossover where science fiction becomes science fact. In these episodes, he will introduce and profile great minds of the science fiction genre whose work would later inspire ideas or concepts that are now considered science fact. Some of these ‘Prophets of Science Fiction’ include Phillip K. Dick, Jules Verne, Isaac Asimov, George Lucas, H.G. Wells and Gene Roddenberry. The video shown at the NYCC also contained a rough cut of the first episode of the series which focuses on Mary Shelley and her idea of man creating life in a laboratory.

“I am thrilled to be partnering with Science Channel on this exciting new series. I hope that the audience will find the subjects as interesting and inspiring as I do,” says Scott. You can watch the video from the NYCC below as well as the commercial for the series that is currently airing on the Science channel. ‘Prophets of Science Fiction’ will debut on the Science channel on November 9 at 10PM ET/PT.

Trailer: Ghost Rider Sequel

Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, the writing and directing tandem behind “Crank” and “Gamer,” have inherited the fiery Columbia Pictures franchise and their first challenges may be getting fans to forgive and forget the 2007 movie “Ghost Rider.” The pair came to New York Comic-Con to show footage to fans and assure them that, this time around, the fire-and-brimstone anti-hero will be presented in a dark tale that lives up to the tone and legacy in the pages of Marvel Comics.

This will be a “darker, nastier, meaner” version of Johnny Blaze, a fellow who will not be throwing on tights and saving cats. “He will light the cat on fire though,” Neveldine said. “And that’s important.”
