Trailer: Rare Exports

Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale is a 2010 film about the “real” Santa Claus: an ancient, super-powered, child-eating sonuvabitch. This Finnish film, written and directed by Jalmari Helander and starring the adorable child actor Onni Tommila. Rare Exports is classed as a horror film, but it’s more a dark, scary Grimms’ Fairy Tale than a Hollywood holiday-themed slasher film. And it has a cutting comic edge as well.

Short Film: Black Goat

Black Goat by director Joseph Nanni
Jacques Cowan is what the French call "a runner of the woods." He may be a foreigner in the new world but Jacques quickly learned the ways of the native people, their language, their routes, and their skills. But he didn't leave his life in another land for adventure, freedom, and wealth - he had much more in mind than trading pelts and cheating death. Jacques had listened intently to the stories that had crossed the ocean, extraordinary tales of mystical creatures and unknown forces. Black Goat finds Jacques mid-hunt, as he closes in on what others thought was a legend. What he doesn't realize is that the legend is on a hunt of its own.

"People of Earth attention! Will you be prepared when the invasion comes? Out of the saucer ship will come an evil force that seeks to replace our freedoms with a barbaric way of life. Is it fantastic imagination or terrifying truth of the future? This film will have you watching the skies!"

Stills: Hobbiton

After the filming of the Lord of the Rings, the owners of the farm upon which Hobbiton was created asked if some of the hobbit homes could remain to serve as an additional tourist attraction to the area, but soon the set was overrun by sheep.

Thanks to Sir Peter Jackson and his crew returning to film The Hobbit, though, the set has been rebuilt in all its glory! In a new joint venture, the set will be open again to the public, allowing movie fans to tour the newly reconstructed film set.
